Summer School on Human Rights, Minorities and Diversity Management

Focus 2016: Integration/Disintegration
20 June 2016 - 01 July 2016

Das Seminar wird von der Schweizer Stiftung CONVIVENZA in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für Minderheitenrecht der Europäischen Akademie Bozen (EURAC), der Universität Graz und der Middlesex Universität in London organisiert.

The 2016 edition of the Summer School on Human Rights, Minorities and Diversity Management explores the theme of Integration/Disintegration through seminars that focus on a wide range of topics, from minority rights, migrant integration and right-wing extremism to direct democracy and the right to self-determination.

Selected topics:

• A critical assessment of minority protection instruments
• Conflict resolution and diplomacy
• Indigenous rights in the face of climate change
• Civic nationalism and immigrant integration
• Religious diversity in contemporary societies

We offer thought-provoking seminars led by top academics, lawyers and
practitioners working in international organisations. Field trips in South Tyrol
and Switzerland will provide first-hand experience of local approaches to minority protection and diversity governance.
